Asbestos Removal & Surveying Services

Weldlag have been licensed for carrying out works with asbestos containing materials (ACM’s) since the inception of this in 1983. The recent introduction of MDHS100 (surveying, sampling and assessment of asbestos containing materials) coupled with relevant changes in the legislation has resulted in the company’s staff having been trained to P402 by the British Institute of Occupational Hygienists to carry out surveys of properties.

Managers, Supervisors and Surveyors are fully trained to carry out detailed investigations of premises (factories, hospitals, health centres, clinics, offices, colleges, public houses, domestic properties, etc.) and their associated grounds, for ACM’s and these can be carried out on one, or a multiple, of the following.

Investigation (Surveys & Quotations)		Type 1: Location and assessment survey ("presumptive" survey) Type 2: Standard sampling, identification and assessment survey (sampling or "investigative" survey). Type 3: Full access sampling and identification survey (pre-demolition/major refurbishment or "invasive" survey).
For types 1 and 2 surveys, a comprehensive report, complete with risk assessments in the form of algorithms, will be supplied.
Treatment & Removal		Alternatively, where the presence of asbestos has already been determined, attendance can be arranged by experienced and trained staff to assess the work requirements and provide competitive quotations for either:

• The continued management of any ACM’s to be retained.
• The encapsulation of any exposed ACM’s.
• The removal and disposal of redundant ACM’s.

All works with asbestos containing materials, removal and/or encapsulation, are carefully controlled and meet the full stringent legislation, regulations, codes of practice and guidance notes imposed or produced by the Health & Safety Executive.
