Established in 1981, Weldlag is
one of the northwest of England's leading companies in the field of thermal
insulation engineering and licenced asbestos removal.
Based in Preston, Weldlag services clients locally, nationally and overseas
as well as a full range of thermal insulation services, the company is
licensed by the Health and Safety Executive for the removal and disposal of
asbestos containing materials (ACM's) and possesses both the facilities and
trained staff to carry out full or part surveys of properties to identify
the presence of these materials.
Comprehensive health and safety training of management and personnel
includes the following standards: NEBOSH "General Certificate"; IOSH
"Managing Safely"; BIOH "P402 Buildings Surveys and Bulk Sampling for
Asbestos"; CITB "Health and Safety Awareness"; Asbestos Removal Operatives
and Supervisors are fully trained in accordance with HSE Guidance Note EH50.
All work, both insulation installation and asbestos removal is quality
assured to ISO 9002 standard. The company's commitment to environmental
protection is evidenced by certification of systems to ISO 14001.
